AB De Villiers’s 176 runs Fiery knock makes him No. 1 batsman of ODI

It took just one fiery innings by AB de Villiers to regain no. 1 spot in ODI batsman ranking which means India’s skipper Virat Kohli drop down to no. 2 spot with 877 points. Meanwhile De Villiers’ breath taking knock of 176 off just 104 balls in the second ODI against Bangladesh boosted him to the top of the rankings.

The 2-0 lead over Bangladesh also helped South Africa to become no.1 ODI team surpassing India which leaves India to No.2 position in the ODI team rankings. 

Rohit Sharma also dropped down two spots and now at No.7 spot in top 10 of ODI Batsman Rankings.

ICC ODI Batsmen Ranking

ODI bowlers’ chart visited drastic change at No. 1 spot as Pakistan’s fast bowler  Hasan Ali has jumped up as many as six places to become the fifth bowler at the No. 1 place of the ODI rankings this year.

Since making his ODI debut against Ireland in August in 2016, Hasan is the leading wicket taker with 54 victims. He is also the best this year with 43 wickets in 17 matches.

Ali has taken nine wickets in four matches so far in the ongoing five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka and Pakistan also leads the series 4-0 and 1 match to go.

In the bowlers’ list, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel are the two Indians who figure in top-10. Both Bumrah and Patel have slipped a position each to be at sixth and eighth places, respectively.

In all-rounder’s Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez rose up to the No. 1 spot in ICC ODI All-Rounders Rankings. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan drops down to No. 2 position.
