Australia knock down the Kiwis by 116 runs in 2nd ODI and seals the series 2-0

After little delay in the start play was started and New Zealand elected to field after winning the toss. New Zealand made one change Tim Southee replaced   Lockie Ferguson and James Faulkaner comes in place of Adam Zampa. While batting first Australia went into post mamth total on the board. As they made 378 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 50 over’s.  David Warner and Aaron Finch had 68 runs partnership for the opening wicket; Aaron Finch got out on 19 runs in 13th over bowled by Santner.

Then David Warner and skipper Steve Smith both added 145 runs for the 2nd wicket; finally David Warner was caught by Kane Williamson on 119 of 115 balls on the bowling of Grandhomme. This was first ODI wicket of Grandhomme. Smith was also got out after adding 35 runs with T Head in 40th over.  From there onwards T Head 57 of 32 balls and Marsh 76* of 40 balls played great innings to take the score 350 marks.

Tim Southee picked 2 wickets.  In reply New Zealand had a good start but they loss 2 quick wickets in space of 3 over’s as New Zealand reduce to 52/2. However James Neesham and skipper Kane Williamson put 125 runs for the third wicket. Kiwis made valliant effort to chase the score and were 177 for 3 when Jimmy Neesham fell in the 31st over for 74.

Williamson 81 off 80 balls was deceived by a Pat Cummins slower ball and found Warner in the covers to leave the Black Caps on 232 for 6 and New Zealand’s hopes faded to achieve Australian target. Wickets tumbled among the lower order, with Pat Cummins concluding with 4 for 41 as Australia sailed to win by 116 and takes the unconquerable lead 2-0
