Champions Trophy-17: Group B is now busted open; which two teams will qualify for semi finals?

When the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 started it was assumed that from Group B India and South Africa will qualify and both the team proved it right with the start of tournament by winning their respective matches with huge margins. But as the tournament moved forward the two minnow teams turn the tides towards them and momentum is totally shifted.

With Sri Lankan team winning yesterday’s game against India quite comprehensively; it has shaken up the group B. As a day back Pakistan being ranked no. 8 team in the tournament did an upset by defeating South Africa a No. 1 ODI side by 19 runs (D/L). Pakistan made a strong come back after being defeated with a huge margin of 124 runs from India in league match.

Sri Lanka did the same yesterday by defeating India by 7 wickets. Spectators didn’t thought that Sri Lanka  will play so well as before the match it was assumed that this will be a one sided game and India will qualify in the semi’s without any road block but it happened opposite as Sri Lankan batsmen played an outstanding cricket.

Despite of posting a good total of 321/7 on the board; Indian team still had to taste the defeat. Team India never looked in the game except the early break through given by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and couple of run outs in the middle of the game.

Indian Team need to be more careful now as there is no other chance left; so they need to regroup themselves and win every game if they want to reach in finals.

Now the scenario has totally changed and now league stage is changed to quarter final mode. In which out of 4 two teams will qualify and enter the Semis. So don’t miss the action of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 in coming days.
