England Playing Defensive game; Indian spinners strike at the end of day

India recommenced their innings from their overnight score of 98/3, with a fetching lead of 298 runs on the board.While on one end skipper Kohli was moving the innings forward, Ajinkya Rahane could only add just 4 runs to his overnight score and was dismissed by Stuart Broad early in the day.

Ashwin and Saha too fell in swift sequences as India started to lose the plot in their second innings.Spinner Adil Rashid got the wicket of Kohli who was dismissed for 81. Jayant Yadav 27* and Mohammed Shami 19 added vital runs down the order to aid India cross score 200 runs mark. India was   finally dismissed for 204 runs, setting a target of 405 runs for England to chase.

England openers Alastair Cook and Hasseb Hameed started watchfully and rose in confidence as the innings developed. The two wore out Indian bowlers and their rebelliousness after tea frustrated the Indian camp. Luck too was favouring Captain Cook’s side, as he survived two DRS reviews. Ashwini finally gave the break through and ended Hameed’s innings at the score of 25 runs. Cook kept going strongly on the other end to score up his 53rd Test half century and fourth against India.

But cook got out just before the stumps day 4 he was judged LBW on the bowling of Jadeja. India ended the day on high notes but need to be careful on last day of test match as England will be playing defensive game for sure.
