ICC Confirmed Squad for ICC Women World Cup 2017

Yesterday, International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed the full squad of teams which are taking part in ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. The world cup is scheduled to take place from 24 June-23 July 2017. 

AUSTRALIA FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 1

Australian women’s team is one of the dominant team among 8 teams. Six time ICC Women World Cup Champions (WWC). Skipper Meg Lanning will lead her team to defend the title and win it 7th time for her country.

ENGLAND FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 2

Heather Knight skipper of the host nation will lead her country to win the title for the 4th time. She is taking part in world cup for the second time.

NEW ZEALAND FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 3

Suzie Bates skipper of New Zealand team is very excited for ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 and she said we have to play a better to reach to the finals; this we can do only if give more than 100%

INDIA FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 4

Indian skipper Mithali Raj will lead her team in World Cup for the second successive time. Bowling of Indian team has been improved quite a bit in the past and this give India team an extra chance to win the first ever women’s ICC World Cup 2017.

WEST INDIES FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 5

Stafanie Taylor skipper for West Indies will lead her team for World Cup 2017. She is an all rounder and has a great batting avg of 44.42 and good bowling skills too. West Indies has named for uncapped players Reniece Boyce, Quiana Joseph, Akeira Peters and Felicia Walters are all in line to make international debuts in England.

SOUTH AFRICA FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 6

Dane Van Niekerk one of the match winners in South African team will lead her team in ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 in hope to win the title for the first time for the people’s of her country.

PAKISTAN FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 7

Pakistan has got a new coach for the tournament, with Sabih Azhar replacing Kabir Khan. Skipper Sana Mir will lead her side for the World Cup 2017.

SRI LANKA FULL SQUAD: ICC TEAM RANKING NO. 8

Sri Lanka has named 8 players who were the part of 2013 ICC World Cup, namely skipper Inoka Ranaweera, Dilani Manodara, Oshadi Ranasinghe, Prasadani Weerakodi, Sripali Weerakkody, Chamari Athapaththu, Eshani Lokusooriya, Udeshika Prabodani snd Shashikala Siriwardena.
