India Women taken the unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three match ODI series; as they beat South Africa women by 178 runs in the 2nd ODI.
South Africa was never looked in the chase from the beginning; just opener Lizelle Lee gave them the strong start. Jhulan Goswami became the first woman to reach 200 One-Day International wickets after she had opener Laura Wolvaardt caught behind early in the chase with 32 on the board. Just Lee got to half century and no others player could reach to double digits except Kapp remaining unbeaten on 17. Poonam Yadav picked 4 wickets by giving just 24 runs. Gayakwad and Sharma picked 2 wickets each.
Eariler South Africa win the toss and put India into bat; India Women’s made a mammoth total of 302 runs for the loss of 3 wickets with the help of Mandhana smashed 135 runs of 129 balls. In addition Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur 55 of 69 balls and Veda Krishnamurthy fiery 51 of just 33 balls contributed to India’s total.
Jhulan Goswami first female cricketer to take 200 ODI wickets
Team India’s fast bowler Jhulan Goswami has achieved a new feat on Wednesday in World Cricket. As soon as he took his first wicket of South Africa Women opener, he made a record that no Indian cricketer has ever been able to make in the whole world. Jhulan Goswami has taken 200 wickets in his 166th match.
India’s experienced fast bowler Jhulan Goswami became the first woman cricketer to take 200 wickets in ODI cricket. Jhulan achieved this feat during the second one-day international cricket match between India and South Africa here.

The first male bowler to pick 200 ODIs wicket was Kapil Dev of India and now Jhulan became first Female Indian bowler to do so. In May 2017, Jhulan became the most successful bowler of women’s cricket.
Last year Jhulan became the highest wicket-taker in ODI cricket, breaking Australia’s Catherine’s 180-wicket a decade old record. Now he has taken 200 wickets and has written a new history.
Jhulan made his debut in 2002 and he was also named the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year in 2007.Mithali Raj is has the record for making the most runs in women’s ODI cricket. Now the world record of taking the most wickets has also become the name of an Indian bowler. Jhulan was born on November 25, 1982 in Kolkata. He played against England in his first ODI match in 2002.
