Day 5 : Pakistan got terrific start on the day 5 of 2nd Test as openers Azhar Ali made 58 runs off 161 balls and Aslam 91 off 238 ball laid the podium with the opening partnership of 131 runs but it took 60 overs before Azhar was boweld by Santner on the last ball of 60th over.
Then Babar Azam arrived to crease but this time he can’t stayed for long on the crease as he did in his previous innings. Babar Azam played just 30 balls and became victim of Santner on the score of 16.In 73 over opener Sami Aslam 91 (303 balls) was caught by Williamson on the ball of Tim Southee. The Pakistan was reduced to 181/3. Sarfraz Ahmed was run out for 19 and Asad Shafiq did not get off the mark.
Experienced Younis Khan struggled to bat and was adjudged lbw on 11 on the ball of Tim Southee. Sohail Khan knock down by Colin de Grandhomme for just 8 runs and Wagner removed the tail Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz and Imran Khan all got out on duck leaving Pakistan in wretched defeat. Wagner picked 3 wickets, Tim Southee and Santner picked 2 wickets apiece. New Zealand went on to pick nine wickets in a striking final session of the 2nd Test against Pakistan to win by 130 runs in Hamilton on Tuesday and clean sweep their series 2-0.It was New Zealand’s first series win over Pakistan since 1985.
