Ravinder Jadeja becomes No. 1 Test Bowler and All-rounder

India’s star performer Ravinder Jadeja becomes the No. Test all-rounder as well as the No. 1 spot as Test bowler. Jadeja surpassed Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan to become top-ranked Test all-rounder as per the newest ICC rankings. Jadeja’s  70 runs not out  knock and a seven-wicket haul during the 2nd  Test match against Sri Lanka at Colombo (SSC) helped him to move up the top of the charts of ICC Test All-rounder’s rankings for the first time in his career. Jadeja is leading wicket taker in the series so far he has picked 13 wickets at an average of 28.76; although he is suspended for the 3rd and final Test match of the series.

Top-ranked Test bowler Jadeja has also gained nine places to reach 51st rank among the batsmen. Jadeja received the man of the match award for his seven-wicket haul and an unbeaten 70-run knock. India batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have also gained vital positions in ICC Test batsmen rankings. After their respective centuries in the Colombo Test. Pujara’s 133-run knock in his 50th Test has helped him to move up to 3rd spot and Rahane moved to 5th spot from 11th position.

ICC Test All-Rounders Rankings

Moeen Ali all round performance helped in England’s 3-1 series win over South Africa helped him retain his No. 4 spot in the all-rounder rankings, while moving up three positions to a career-best 21st slot in the batting rankings. Moeen  Ali finished series on high knots as he claimed 25 wickets and became highest wicket taker in the series and with batting he made 252 runs and becomes the first player to score 250 runs and take 25 wickets in a four-Test series. Meanwhile James Anderson 20 wickets against South Africa pressed him up to No. 2 in the Test bowling rankings.
