Yesterday, 16 Member team was announced for the test match series which will begin from 26 July 2017. Rohit Sharma is making come back in the test squad, he played last test against New Zealand at Indore (8 Oct to 11 Oct 2016) and made 51 runs in the first innings. Karun Nair was dropped from the squad has he was replacement of Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Jadhav is also droped from the Squad.
Hardik Pandya was selected for the first time in Test squad also; he is brilliant player in ODI and T20I. Murali Vijay is retained and K L Rahul also earned his place in the squad as he was due to injury. Kulddep Yadav also able to keep his place in the squad who had great last test match against Australia, he picked 4 wickets and changed the match scenario. Kuldeep Yadav also had good ODI series in the West Indies.
Kohli will lead the side and India will begin the tour by playing a two-day practice game in Colombo on July 21. The three Test Match series will began on July 26 and Thereafter India play five ODIs and an only T20I.
