England 400 All out, Vijay and Pujara Compacted the India Innings

Day 2: England started on overnight score of 288/5 with Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes starting the day.  India didn’t had to wait for long for the wicket as Ashwin strikes in 3rd over of the day he got the wicket of Ben Stokes again as he was got out on 31 caught by Skipper Kohli. Second breakthrough was provided by Ravinder Jadeja as Chrish Woakes was caught behind the wickets by Parthiv Patel on 11 runs. Next batsmen was Adil Rashid on the crease; he didn’t stayed long as he was bowled by Ravinder Jadeja at 4 runs and England diminished to 334/8 now England was in trouble to get all out under 350. However Jos Buttler was playing sagaciously on one end and he was supported by Jake Ball as the both added 54 runs for the 9th wicket before Jake Ball got out on 31 on the ball of Ravichandren Ashwin  and Final wicket of Jos Buttler was taken by Ravinder Jadeja  who made an important 76 runs contribution down the order to take the total of England exact 400 runs. Ashwin 6/112 and 4/109 shared the wickets. In response India started innings With KL Rahul and Murli Vijay both added 39 runs for the first wicket before KL Rahul was bowled by Moeen Ali at 24 runs.  However since then no further damage to Indian innings as Murali Vijay completed its half century and still on the crease on 70* and Pujara on the other end 47 not out.

India need to be careful as this the ground where India was beaten 2 times by the England and this the 3rd occasion England posted 400 or more runs on the board on the same ground.

Meanwhile Ashwin equals the Kapil Dev record of 23 times 5 wickets in an innings. Only Anil Kumble 35 and Harbhajan Singh 25 times did this for India.
