The second Test Match between India and England is being played at Lords. The first day of the game was washed due to rain, even toss was not taken place. On the second day also rain, but due to the rain interrupted the match several times. In the match being played due to rain, India were bowled out for 107 on the second day itself and in just 35.2 overs. No Indian batsman has played according to their potentials and nor could applied themselves to the playing conditions.
James Anderson took advantage of the conditions and took 5 wickets hauls. Before this England won the toss on the second day and decided to bowl first. Skipper Joe Root’s bowling first decision proved right. England bowlers took the advantage of India’s weak batting lineup and they bowled out the Indian team on just 107. Captain Virat Kohli may be claiming that there is no technical problem but seeing the plight of the Indian batsmen it not looks so. For England, James Anderson took five wickets for 20 runs. He took 5 wicket hauls for the 26th time in his career. Chris Woakes took two wickets while Sam Quaran and Stuart Broad took one wicket each.
Virat Kohli made changes in team selection:
Captain Virat Kohli made two big changes in the second Test after losing to England by 31 runs in the first Test against England at Edgbaston. What will be the result of the second Test, it is still far away but Virat’s team selection is already in the debate, in place of Shikhar Dhawan, Cheteshwar Pujara is in team and for Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav has been replaced by Kohli in the playing eleven. Virat Kohli was criticized for his decision not to keep Pujara in the playing XI in the last match. However, in the first innings of the Lord’s Test, Cheteshwar Pujara scored 25 runs and was run out after scoring 1 run. On the second day of the match we saw how much pitch is helping the fast bowlers. Now we have to see how Indian fast bowler can bowl. On the third day of the match, Kuldeep Yadav is going to face tough test.
