One of the most preferred teams to watch while playing in the cricket field after India and Pakistan battles among Indians. First Test match was played between India and Australia was in 1947 i.e. 28 Nov to 4 Dec, 2017. The match was played for 7 days including 1 rest day on 30 Nov 1947. Australian skipper was Sir Don Bradman and for India Lala Amarnath was the skipper. India lost this match by an innings and 226 runs. Although India not have the greatest record away from home but they had promising stats at home.

One of the famous test matches of all time that we can’t wash from our memories was Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2nd Test Match of the 3 test match series. Indian were already 1 down in series and were enforced to play follow on in the 2nd Test Match as Austrilian posted 445 runs total in the 1st innings and Indian team was bundled on 171 runs in 1st innings.  India was in big trouble in 2nd innings as they lost 3 wickets on 115 runs with Sachin Tendulkar back in the pavilion. Then came the moment were VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid added 376 runs for the 6th wicket and put India in dominating position putting 657 runs on the board . Laxman got out on 281 runs and Rahul Dravid made 180 runs; and winning the Test Match by 171 runs at one stage Australians were on 106/1 but got all out on 212 runs. Harbhajan Singh picked Hat trick in 1st innings and total 13 wickets in a match.
