IPL 2018: After the match, why did KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya exchanged jerseys?

Despite having played 94 runs innings in the match against Mumbai Indians, Punjab lost. KL Rahul helped Kings XI Punjab to reach target of 187 runs but despite valiant effort his team lost the match by 3 runs. Despite the defeat, KL Rahul did something that he came into notice.

This tradition is not followed in cricket, but it is quite popular in football. In the first place in 1931, the players were seen changing the jerseys after the match between England and France. For the first time France defeated England. The enthusiastic French players had asked England’s players to change their jerseys. Which England also accepted. Since then players in football often exchange jerseys in big matches. KL Rahul explained

“We’ve seen this happening a lot in football. Hardik and I are good friends, and I felt like it would be nice to collect some jersey and bring this tradition into cricket as well,” Rahul said in a video uploaded in the IPL website.

For MI Mr. reliable Jasprit Bumrah and big-game player Kieron Pollard helped there to team to narrowest 3 run victory over KXIP. The result brings a dramatic change in the fortune of the two teams who were sitting at different sides of the playoffs qualification mark before the game but now the scenario is totally changed after the match.
