AFGvsBAN: 19-year-old Rashid Khan Makes Another World Record

Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 45 runs in the first T20 match played at Dehradun. Mystery spinner Rashid Khan, who was the hero of Afghanistan’s victory in this match, Rashid took three wickets in the first T20 match against Bangladesh and played a key role in winning the team. He played just two balls in the batting and also got a six. But in this match Rashid also got a world record as his name.

Rashid Made World Record

With three wickets against Bangladesh, Rashid Khan also made a world record. Rashid has now become the second joint fastest bowlers to take 50 wickets in international T20 matches. This mystery spin bowler has done this amazing in just 2 years and 220 days. Rashid Khan is now jointly at second positions with Imran Tahir as both of them took 31 matches to accomplish this landmark in T20Is. 

Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis is the name of the charisma to hit 50 wickets in the lowest matches in T20 cricket. Mendis had done a great job to make the half-century of the wicket in just 26 matches. Rashid took 3 wickets for just 13 runs against Bangladesh, giving his team a 45-run lead and also gave 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Rashid had an international T20 debut against Zimbabwe on October 26, 2015. Now he achieved this special point in the 31st match.

Rashid had made another world record this year when he became the fastest bowler to take 100 international one-day wickets during the World Cup Qualifier. He also became the youngest bowler to reach this destination.
