The Indian team has been selected for Asia Cup 2018. Indian captain Virat Kohli has been rested for this tournament. In this 50-over tournament, Rohit Sharm will lead the Team India in the absence of Kohli.

These include Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The sixth team will be the one who will win the Asia Cup qualifiers final. It will be decided on 6th September.
India will face arch rivals Pakistan two times and it can turn into 3 times if both reach finals of the tournament. Defending champion India will take on Pakistan on September 19. Both teams will face each other after 15 months. The last encounter between India and Pakistan was in the final of the Champions Trophy on 18 June 2017. In which Pakistan beaten India by 180 runs and won the tournament.
