Australia beat Pakistan by 39 runs in the 1st Test Match

Day 5: Australia will be in lots of lots reprieve beating Pakistan by 39 runs in 1st Test of the series as Pakistan fell just 40 run short of a world-record hunt. Nearly 11 sessions were named to Australia but last session of the 4th day gave hopes to Pakistan as Asad Shafiq’s magnificent century and robust innings from Yasir Shah took the game away from Steven Smith’s men’s.

Pakistan looked on route to beat that with the help of Asad Shafiq’s magnificent knock of 137, but his innings was came to an  end by Mitchell Starc caught by David Warner in the gully and all hopes of Pakistan was over almost. In this innings he hit 13 fours and Six. 9 no. of centuries hit by Asad Shafiq at number 6 most by any player passing the record of Sir Garry Sobbers his best was 8 centuries at this no.

Just 3 balls later, Smith hit the closing blow, running out Yasir from slip after the No. 10 stroll out of his crease, ending a match that Australians will be thinking to end much early and winning the match by just 39 runs. Pakistan, regardless of coming up short, they can go on high notes into next match at Melbourne on Boxing Day. Asad Shafiq declared the Man of the Match for his 137 runs innings.
