Rahul 199 puts India in Command, India trail by 93 runs

Day 3: India started the day with 60/0 on overnight score. Parthiv Patle and Lokesh Rahul started the day positively and played natural game and duo added 152 run opening stand before Parthi Patel got out on 71 runs. Pujara and Kohli didn’t stay long on the crease as they both made 16 and 15 runs respectively. England thought of picking more wickets but Lokesh Rahul and Karun Nair both Karnatka batsmen added 161 for the fourth wicket and kept skipper Alastair Cook in worries before Lokesh Rahul got out on 199 missing out his 1st double ton. No doubt the day belonged Rahul as he placed India in commanding position. Rahul previous best was 38 runs in India. At stumps, India was speeding at 391/4, behind England’s 1st innings total of 477 by 86 runs with 6 wickets in hand. Karun Nair (71) and Murali Vijay (17) were on the crease at the stumps on day 3

Day 4: Australia Just 2 wickets away from clinching the first Test at Brisbane, Azhar Ali and Younis started the day and played brilliantly as the duo added 91 runs for the 3rd wicket before Azhar Ali caught by keeper Wade on 71 runs bowling Starc. Younis also fightsback and played great knock of 65 runs. Some quick wickets and Pakistan were in a trembling position but Asad Shafiq came in to steady the innings. He played remarkable knock and still on the crease unbeaten on 100. Sarfraz Ahmed also played decent knock 24 runs and both added 47 runs for 6th wicket. Lower added brilliantly gelled with Asad Shafiq and played liitle great knocks to push Pakistan on 382/8 at the end of day. Pakistan will be thinking that why the batsmen didn’t performed in 1st innings otherwise they will be good position. Asad Shafiq is still at the crease; if he can do some miracle with little tale.
