Big Blow For Team India; As Bumrah Is Ruled Out Of T20Is, Uncertain For ODIs Against England

Due to finger injury, Team India’s fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah is ruled out from England’s T-20 and ODI series. According to team management sources, Bumrah was injured during the T20 series against Ireland. Bumrah will soon return home. Meanwhile, it is expected that he will be fit before the Test series starting on August 1.

Off-spinner Washington has also twisted his ankle while playing football before the second T20I against Ireland and he is also ruled out of T20I series.

The absence of Bumrah’s from T20Is and ODIs is a big blow to Team India as he accurate and the best death bowler of current time.  The team management believes that Bumrah performed good in the Test series against South Africa and would be fit for the Test series against England. India are likely to replace either Mumbai paceman Shardul Thakur or Rajasthan pacer Deepak Chahar as possible replacement for Bumrah. Left-arm spinner Axar Patel is in reckoning to replace Washington. All three bowlers are currently touring with the India ‘A’ team in England. Chahar has been in good form for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and has continued to do well for India ‘A’ in England.
