Dhawan & Vijay Smashed Tons, But Afghanistan Fights Back In Last Session

Hundreds from the Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay gave Afghanistan the tough instigation into Test cricket but the Afghanistan team fought back in last session picking 4 wickets. Team India in a bit of worries and ended the day at 347 for 6 on a rain-curtailed first day of the historic one-off Test.

The duo Dhawan (107 off 96 balls) and Vijay (105 off 153 balls) added 168 runs opening stand in only 28.4 overs.

Before this Gabbar showed ferocious ‘dadagiri’ on the first day of the historic Test match between India and Afghanistan. Dhawan not only scored a century, but he made a record in the Test cricket, which no other batsman can break it.

During his 107-run innings on 96 balls, he set a record which no other player in the world could touch. During his innings he hit 18 fours and three sixes, Dhawan has become the first player to score a century in Test cricket against Afghanistan.

Yes, players will score hundreds in the future against Afghanistan, but the record of first century against this team will be the name of this left-handed batsman. From the beginning of the match, the Dhawan was seen in different colors today. He applied pressure on Afghan bowlers from the very beginning itself. Dhawan reached the ‘peak’ which no other Indian batsman achieved so far, as he is included in the special club of Sir Don Bradman
