Post Asia Cup 2018, Rohit Sharma Hedges to his Career Best Spot In ICC ODI Rankings

Indian players conquered the batsman and bowlers ranking with skipper Virat Kohli retaining his top spot in the batsman ranking.

Both Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have made substantial rise in the latest ICC ODI Rankings for Batsmen.

Sharma, who led the team in the absence of top-ranked batsman Virat Kohli, has jumped to his career best 2nd spot in the latest ICC ODI Rankings for the batsman.Rohit Sharma amassed 317 runs, while Dhawan topped the tournament with 342 runs to gain four slots and reach fifth position in ICC ODI Rankings

Pakistan’s Babar Azam is the only batsman in the top ten batsman list.

Another Indian to advance in the rankings is spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who has gained three places which take him to career-best third position in the Bowlers’ list. He finished the Asia Cup as the joint-highest wicket taker along with Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan and Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman all three picked 10 wickets in the Asia Cup 2018.

Moreover, Jasprit Bumrah retained his spot at the in ICC ODI bowler Rankings of rankings for bowlers. The pacer was in dazzling form throughout the Asia Cup 2018, especially in the death overs.

Khan took 10 wickets in five matches and scored 87 runs at an average of 43.50, displacing Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan from the top of the all-rounders’ list.
