There was a rift about the relationship of Coach Anil Kumble and Skipper Kohli in between the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.  According to sources Virat Kohli was not happy with techniques of Kumble Coaching. Couple of weeks ago a board meeting of BCCI advisory committee was held; comprising of Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar- Skipper Kohli made it clear that his relation with Kumble reached to the end point. But the selection committee still took the decision of Kumble staying as Coach of Indian team. Furthermore, the BCCI after few days of meeting announced that Anil Kumble will remain coach till West Indies tour and then further decision will be taken. Is this justifiably for a legend like Anil Kumble? Contracts are made for 1 year, 2 Years or even more not on the series basis as it will not give confidence to team or a coach itself.

Beside of this Coach Kumble’s 1 year tenure was so fruitful that Team India stayed at no.1 in Test Cricket. The team registered wins over West Indies, New Zealand, England and Australia. The team India was also showed its dominance in the shorter formats and finished the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on 2nd place.
